Our 32-night Junior Main Camp is designed for rising K5–9th graders who love the Wayfarer experience and are ready for more time at camp, more adventure, and more opportunities to grow. It’s the perfect next step for campers looking to extend their summer at Wayfarer, while offering a slightly shorter stay than our Main Camp experience.
As a 6-week camp session, this is for those searching for a deep-dive into the camp experience. Campers are immersed in the traditions, activities, and friendships that define who we are as a camp. You will get to enjoy plenty of out-of-camp excursions, participate in some of our most special events, and spend five excitement-filled weeks of your summer building friendships to last a lifetime. Main Camp is for the avid camper who yearns for more time at camp.
The ideal session for younger, first-time campers! This one-week session falls at the beginning of both July Camp sessions. This overlap can be helpful for families in which older siblings desire a longer session. During this “starter” camp, children go to 5 activity periods specific to their age group. Campers may attend Adventure Camp for one year only, as they get a feel for life at camp without the longer stay.

This session is ideal for older, first-time campers or younger campers who want an experience longer than the one-week Adventure Camp. We love our June Camp as it is our season opener. Wayfarer is heading west to Cascadia, a region of the Pacific Northwest known for its mountains, rivers, coastline, and wild landscapes.
Over 14 days, campers will travel through the region on a camping-based adventure filled with new experiences and high-adventure challenges. The trip will include overnight whitewater rafting, rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, and a variety of day adventures along the way.
