Wayfarer Expeditions

Wayfarer Expeditions is one of Camp Wayfarer’s longest-standing traditions. Bringing with them the encouragement, confidence, and adventurous spirit they’ve gained at Wayfarer, campers travel out west to push their limits and discover just exactly what they are capable of.  A Wayfarer Expedition is a once in a lifetime adventure — summiting mountains, trout fishing world-class rivers, rafting white water rapids, bundling up around the campfire, sleeping under the stars, and so much more — all of this with your best camp buddies who will quickly feel more like family. Together, we step into our best Wayfarer selves and venture out on a journey to celebrate our world’s beauty and the individuality of those around us.

Wayfarer Expeditions act as an extension of the haven of security found at Camp Wayfarer, and promote the independence and self-growth that our unique camp culture has become known for. In their everyday lives, campers can often face much pressure, stress, and high expectations. They are flooded by social media, academic demands, friend or family dynamics, and so much more. The ability to take a deep breath and get away from these concerns is a true gift. Campers and their team spend two weeks in the fresh air, surrounded by the beauty of creation, and are reminded to seek out the simple joys in life.

Come join our family of Wayfarers as we venture out to explore the world together.

This summer we will be offering one excursion to both Colorado and Wyoming. The trip is 13 days in length and is packed full of adventure!  Open to rising 9th – 12th graders, the expedition features 14,000 ft. mountain summits, rafting and paddle boarding down the Snake River,  a multi-day backcountry trek in the Wind River Range, and an in-depth excursion through beautiful Yellowstone National Park. Campers will fly in and out of the Denver International Airport.
